Heads of the School of Arts and Sciences (SAS) student institutions took part in the second batch of the oath-taking ceremony at the Immaculate Heart (IH) Gymnasium last June 21, 2024.
The ceremony was held during the Freshmen Orientation conducted by the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) and the University Student Council (USC), inaugurating the student officers of each institution. This signifies the beginning of their term as they pledge to serve the students with Angelite values and Christian faith.
The OSA Director, Ms. Iris Ann G. Castro led the oath-taking for the college-based publications, and representing SAS was the Editorial Board of the Nexus, namely, Altheia Abringe, the Editor-in-Chief, Shari Gayeta, the Associate Editor, and Kayel Salvador, the Managing Editor.
Meanwhile, the oath-taking ceremony for college-based organizations was administered by Dr. Al Biag, the Vice President for Academic Affairs. The core officers of the Communicators’ League namely, Christiana Meg Ramos, Ghiewely Gomez, and Laurence Sagun pledged oath. While for the Psychology Society, Jiel Halili, Lyanna Cunanan, and Ivan Pangilinan also affirmed their oaths.
Furthermore, Dr. Monina M. Manalang, the Associate Vice President for Student Services and Affairs, headed the oath-taking for the college student councils. The governor and vice-governor of CSC-SAS, respectively, Alexis Delfin and Krishane Santiago, alongside their elected councilors participated in the ceremony as well.
The college student councils, college-based publications, and organizations of the School of Computing (SOC), School of Business and Accountancy (SBA), School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (SHTM), and HAU - Commission on Financial Audit (CFA) also attended.
