SAS jumpstarts General Assembly for a new A.Y

The College Student Council of the School of Arts and Sciences (CSC-SAS), in collaboration with other SAS institutions (The Nexus, Communicators' League, and Psychology Society), spearheaded the first general assembly of the current academic year which was held at the University Theatre last August 14, Monday.


The event bore the theme “Jumpstart with Mario: General Assembly Kickoff,” symbolizing the commencement of a new academic year with a fresh start for the students.


A notable highlight of the event was the attendance of esteemed guest speaker Eleanor San Jose-Modesto, recognized as a pioneer in obtaining a degree in visual arts with a major in advertising and communication, who led a talk about the importance of branding oneselves.


Moreover, the event formally introduced the department’s new dean, Dr. Alfredo B. Santos, and the new coordinators of the Communication, and Psychology Program, Prof. Karen Crineza Rivera, and Prof. Maica S. Pineda, RPsy, RPm, PhD together with the other faculty members who attended the event.


The assembly had a variety of engaging performances from SAS organizations, accompanied by icebreakers prepared by the council. Attendees were also provided with an overview of the accomplished and ongoing plans of the department's student institutions.
